During the May 13, 2020 briefing of BC’s health officer Dr. Henry, she affirmed that churches can gather in public again as long as they gather in groups of less than 50 people and practice social distancing.
Starting May 24, 2020 we are carefully and safely resuming public services at our church facility. All physical distancing guidelines are in place as well as safe limitations on the number of attenders. As a smaller congregation we are easily able to facilitate the group size limit by BC’s health authorities.
Any potential attender that is sick, at increased risk, or does not yet feel comfortable to meet for worship is encouraged to stay safely at home and join the services through our live stream on Facebook, YouTube and at ccbcvictoria.ca
Capital City Baptist Church would like to inform all attenders or visitors that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic our worship services are a bit different then usual. All seats are spaced 6ft. apart and we kindly ask everyone keep a min. 6ft. distance to each other. We wash hands regularly with soap, use the hand sanitizer provided, and sanitize all multi-touch surfaces regularly. In following the social distancing guidelines we currently restrict our max. capacity to 45 people. These and many more adjustments are to ensure a safe and healthy experience for everyone. Instead of being awkward we believe that social distancing can become fun and be part of our individual contribution to keep our communities safe.
