Ministries & Missions

Our Ministries

Adult Sunday School

Every Sunday at 10 AM adults of different walks of life enjoy the helpful and practical teaching of the Word of God. By learning the principles of Scripture together, we connect and strengthen each others faith.

Children's Sunday School

Our church loves families. Sunday mornings at 10 AM children of all ages learn exciting truths about God. In fun, creative, and age appropriate ways God's Word is explained. There is a place for your child here!

Nursery

We offer a Nursery during all church services, so you are able to take in God's message for you. Nursery is not mandatory. We encourage the use of the nursery for babies and toddlers under three years of age. Our experienced staff will provide a loving atmosphere for your small child, with a safe and healthy place for them to grow.

Kids Club

Children love to learn in a safe, caring environment. That's why we have fun activities, games, snacks and Bible teaching for children ages 12 and under. All children are invited to join us on Thursdays at 7 PM!

Senior Home Service

God cares about everyone, especially those who are easily forgotten. We bring traditional hymns, cheerful smiles, and an encouraging visit to the seniors in our community. Please contact us if you would like a visit.

Outreach

In every thing we do, we strive to show God's love and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every Saturday at 3:30 PM soul winners knock on doors in our city. We also reach out into our community and seek to be a help to those in need. Please contact us to get involved.

Ladies Meetings

Come and join our ladies once a month for Bible studies, tasty food, fun, laughter, fellowship and friendship. Find encouragement and inspiration specifically tailored for ladies! See our calendar for the date of our next Ladies Meeting.

Men's Meetings

Every first Saturday of each month the men meet for a monthly prayer meeting. We also have Men's Breakfasts every few months. Don't miss these special times together as a band of brothers! See our calendar for the date of our next Men's Meeting.

Food Fellowship

After the 11 AM Worship Service on Sundays, we usually enjoy a lunch time together. Everyone brings their own lunch, and we are always glad to share. After an Evening Service we like to fellowship with some food as well. Anyone is invited to join us for our Food Fellowship!

Capital City Baptist Church’s passion is world wide evangelization. We love Missions because the salvation of souls everywhere is God’s greatest desire. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, … not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” Capital City Baptist Church currently supports the following Missionaries:

David and Lynda Gordon have been serving the Lord since 1977. For 18 years they served as missionaries in France. Together with their son Matthew Gordon and his family, the Gordons are currently working with a church plant in Berthierville, Quebec. Berthierville is about an hour northeast of Montreal.

Yvon Geoffrion, together with his wife Jeanette, is working on an accurate, understandable translation of the Bible into the French language. They also compile explanatory notes on the French Bible so that the reader has a better understanding of the words. Since 1966, God has used them to plant five churches in Quebec. They are currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Will and Cindy Klassen, together with their eight children, are serving the Lord in Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, in Mexico. Since 2009 they are spreading the Gospel among the Mennonite people in that area. Brother Klassen is pastoring a Low-German speaking Baptist Church called Bibel Baptisten Gemeinde.

Thomas and Kezia Bui will work along side a veteran missionary in Bandung, Indonesia. Before the end of 2018, they plan to move to Indonesia, and serve in a ministry centre that seeks to get involved in people’s lives and introduce them to the Gospel of Christ. teamindonesia.org

God has called Marco and Tricia Paulichen, with their children Joshua and Josephine, to the city of Salto in Uruguay. They look forward to planting the ony Gospel-preaching church in Salto. Answering many prayers, God has already opened up many opportunities for them to spread the Gospel. The Paulichens are preparing to move in October 2018. hope4uruguay.com
